Gene has ever so kindly plugged in the wireless card and now I can play to my heart's content from anywhere in our little happy home network and beyond. Joy of joys.

In addition to the wireless card, I picked up a copy of the Wonder Boys soundtrack, and Pump Up The Volume on DVD. The soundtrack is chock full of Bob Dylan, and includes my most favorite Leonard Cohen song ever, "Waiting for a Miracle." I should own more Cohen. What a voice. What a man. The movie is one of my favorite 80s Christian Slater films. How could you not love Hard Harry and his pirate radio?

Work was dull, but even. It goes ever on an on. Jason's entire back is peeling from his sunburn and he's miserable.

We had a nice lunch with Tyler at Trudy's, and drank margaritas in the middle of the afternoon. No wonder I was tired.

Richard let me mess with his hair, which has turned into the most incredible afro. I laughed so hard my stomach hurt. Now I'm one of those people who goes to the bar after work and talks.

I'm random too.

Yep, I've finally found a piece of fanfic that reads like a Jack Chick tract. If you too want to know how Harry Potter wins Lucius Malfoy over to the side of Jesus, read Here is the Light.

And yes, I should probably be nicer to people. And I do respect religion, and I do believe in a God most days. But I haven't had such a nice belly laugh from the fandom in ages.

Panic drove me out of bed at 7am, sweating and shaking. No good, no good. Then I had to deal with the Time Warner man who left us a new cable modem. However it doesn't do a damn bit of good as Road Runner is down now. Sigh. However, we are once again stealing from the upstairs neighbor and his woefully unsecure network. Thank heavens I bought the wireless card yesterday.
