Sep. 13th, 2003 01:54 pmLast night I wrote huge long entries that got eaten by the internet. I will not even attempt to recreate them. Bah.
I spent most of my shift flipping radio stations, catching bits of Johnny Cash here and there. The work was dreadfully slow, which is why I had an hour to devote to writing nonsense. I've been working on snips of an adventure sort of novel, using our characters from the Werewolf game. Haven't really decided where it's going, but it's fun to be writing something.
This week I reread the first four Harry Potter books, and it was interesting to see the little things. I am still amazed by how dead on Melynda's predictions about Neville and Trelawney were when it came to book five. This time around I found myself genuinely saddened by Cedric's death, because I could see how much that played a part in the loss of innocence for the children. Despite all the crazy things happening, the kids are still on the whole pretty young, fairly innocent. Harry sees death for the first time up close and personal, and the children are exposed to the Unforgiveable curses. It all gets much worse in the next book.
