Sep. 26th, 2003 11:16 pmApparently there was indeed a ruckus brought up by White Wolf over underworld. Their claim is that the film rips off an old Nancy Collins story they published. Once upon a time I think I owned some Nancy Collins but I don't anymore. A kid I went to school with way back in middle school knew her, through some weird connection with his mother. They went to high school together or something. Anyhow, I do remember being peeved that I did not possess a book autographed by an author I liked. The problem with that was that so many of the authors I adored were dead. Even the Ouija board couldn't help me there.
I've abandoned hope of ever getting anything done tonight. My numbers are made, and I nailed someone who cleared an obviously flooded lot. My work here is done and I would like to go home now. There are eight million other things I could be doing instead of wasting my time in this office. I could be finalizing the guest list, cleaning the bathroom, hanging up clothes, watching anime, addressing envelopes, etc.
This weekend we're going to find some places to register, and order our wedding rings. I need to make a doctor's appointment to get a new prescription for my eyes, and hopefully Melynda will find one of those discount certificates so getting new glasses will be more financially feasible even with the money my father gave me. I may just replace the lenses. It's cheaper that way. I need to get the dress altered as well. Must do that. It's sort of important.
Rachel's tiara is here, so maybe I can find her Saturday night and give it to her. Hong Kong stamps are cool. It was quite possibly the most securely packaged item in the history of man. Sealed in plastic, wrapped in bubble wrap and swathed in layers of foam padding.
