the gauntlet of offices
Jan. 14th, 2004 02:19 pmOn the timely advice of an LJ friend, I decided to call the Social Security office and make an appointment to take my paperwork in for a new card. However, they seem to not like answering their phones, and I made the mistake of dialing the fax line as well. Ouch. At least it was easier to talk to HR, which is located who-knows-where in some giant building. But the insurance is taken care of and my name at work is changed. Now, the eight million other things to change.
I would really like the nightmares to stop now. It makes sleeping difficult.

I really do love USAA. They changed my name right off the bat, they added Alan to my insurance in 30 seconds, and I picked up a renters insurance policy for $11/month. So very easy, and all in one phone call. And my car insurance went down $57!
And the mailman just came by with Heroes! Thank you thank you thank you Rach, you've made the day fabulous.
