Finally, the Academy has recognized Peter Jackson's incredible passion and vision. About damn time.

I am however wildly disappointed in the failure to recognize Johnny Depp's brilliance.

Anyhow, I kicked Alan's ass 9-3 earlier, before we went out for a few drinks. The second round went 8-16 in Alan's favor. This game is so rocking.

I have little else to report except video game stats, but I will say it is a rare pleasure to be married and know I will never have to troll bars for a date. I've seen some rather desperate moves in bars lately, and it just makes me so glad I'm not that person. Instead I get to have a couple drinks and laugh with my husband, go home and just enjoy our life as it is.

In the end, it is a good life.

So much dreaming, the kind that blends into daylight as one tries to wake. For awhile, I thought I was someone else entirely. Those moments are rare, and I treasure them. It's the closest I'll ever come to having an entirely different life.

What a shame I have to go to work tonight, instead of staying home and contemplating a thousand worlds far away from my own.

A busy week ahead. Much cleaning to be done, as I intend to use copious amounts of bleach on the bathroom at some point. Laundry, baking, straightening. One of these nights I'm going to sit down and fix up the bookshelves so they aren't quite such a mess. But really, I will need one of those manic sleepless nights for that task.

I've been over the revisions to my character sheet for Canadian Jason's game a million times. I should really stop dithering and send it off. What a time for perfectionist tendencies.

My ability to write has been very fleeting lately. I have flashes, snapshots, and then they go. If I had more artistic talent, I would storyboard everything out because I like the visual, tactile element. Alan says the same thing about Alex's story, but I think it's because his story would make a better film overall.

Hopefully I'll have Friday off. I turned in my request this afternoon. Coffee with Sarah, and perhaps Melynda can join us when she arrives in town for the weekend. I think Steven will be here soon as well, so I'll have to hit him up for Mexican food and much story telling. I'm in need of a long weekend and good company.

There is also a lot of Soul Calibur to be played.
