still I'm here
Apr. 6th, 2004 02:21 amToday was the first day of our new 3pm to midnight schedule, and full of drama. The dayshift moved people around, and screwed up seating. I have a feeling that when it comes down to a fight for seats and parking spaces, the dayshift will win out. Ugh. What is it about companies and people in general that makes them see night shift workers as less deserving? Fucking bullshit.
Tomorrow I have a three hour training session to learn to talk on the phone. That's right. Three hours to learn how to call and say "Hi I'm looking for some more information on this parcel, can you help me out?" Give me a break.
My numbers for last month were through the roof. I averaged 66 units a day, worked in six states and did that insane number of edits. Will I recieve a performance bonus, or be employee of the month? Unlikely.
Work makes me so irritable.
It was very nice to leave a little after 11pm tonight. Since Brett had car trouble on the way home from Dallas, we didn't go to the gym this morning. I went after midnight and it was good.
