it rained all day
Jun. 8th, 2004 08:01 pmBecause of my high production yesterday, the higher authorities had me red flagged and a massive audit was conducted. When I left the office, my supervisor had looked at some 40% of my work. Not a mistake to be found. Take that, jerks.
The sad thing about it is that I could do a hundred every day if I cared to do so. I'm too bitter.
Waited forever in the doctor's office and then out to my mother's house. My grandmother was not feeling up to the travel so just my grandfather and cousin came up. Rob managed to blow a fuse or something in the house when he plugged his Game Cube into the wall in my old bedroom. The lights all went out, then came back on, and then went out again. Mom said it was very creepy. I think it's hysterical and post modern that Rob travels with a small TV and his Game Cube. I wish I had thought of that when I was younger! I would have lugged my Super Nintendo everywhere.
My grandfather told outrageous stories about his military days and the hijinks his squad in Louisiana pulled all the time. My favorite was the one where someone mooned a general. Or perhaps the one where the guy called the base for help because he woke up naked in a strange hotel and without a car. They were good stories and I could have listened to them all night.
Alan's great aunt Milada died today. I met her once, and spoke briefly with her in Czech. She was very old.
