Melynda bought me a new car stereo!! It has blue buttons you see, and is very nice. Now I can drive around with music, which is almost a shock after so long in silence. It makes driving so much nicer.
We were stuck up at the Gateway with no car and no cigarettes while we waited for the installation. So we ate delicious desserts at Whole Foods and basked in their air conditioning. There was a band playing in the store, and I saw a pair of store clerks dancing.
Then there was lunch at La Madeline's with Gene, and so much food. I ate quiche and a sandwich. Gene told us that Tower Records on the Drag is closing tomorrow, so we went down there to buy cds and paw the corpse of the store. It was rather bizarre, truth be told.

I had a really fantastic afternoon, and no hangover despite Gene's potent stout. I am sad I will miss the Scottish Ale in two weeks, but by then I will be with Cate and preparing to leave New Jersey for the Road Trip of Doom!
