Sometimes I can't look out the window at work without getting dizzy, especially in the mornings. It's the clouds, and not enough caffiene to keep me even.
Work was long, and dull. Arizona is an easy state to work with, as there are good websites and lots of parcel maps. Forget trying to call Maricopa county however. That never works. I spent an hour on my first cert of the day because it was a brand new expensive subdivision outside Bullhead City and the county had no information. There was however a biography of the golf course architect! The developer couldn't bother to put a map or even driving directions on their website, much less provide a phone number to call. I finally dug up a map sans any scale or real measurements and roughly plotted out where the subdivision would fall.
I am now the most senior person in Arizona, which is ridiculous as I have only been there a month and a half. Another woman was transferred into the state, and she's having a miserable time of it. She's very sweet and nice, but so slow and annoyed because this state isn't like the state she worked in before. That means I have to work harder to keep work from becoming overdue, and it is a bit of a headache. Next week we will have a new hire starting in Arizona, and then I'll two people asking me questions. I don't mind helping them out in the slightest, but I am slightly frustrated because I don't know the state inside and out yet. I don't want to hinder their efforts to learn.
The funniest thing to come out of Star Wars Galaxies. I've been laughing at it all day, though I could in trouble for watching it at work. While I realize I shouldn't exactly be goofing off at work, I still did probably twice as much as the other person in my state and we were almost through with our queue.
I'm still very cranky, and I wish there was a D&D game to play. So many years and I forgot how much I enjoy tabletop games with a good group. I want to play, I want to play.
