home blessed home
Jun. 28th, 2004 03:36 pmIt feels so good to be home. I've backdated brief entries that exist as a barebones recount of the journey. In short, my flight into Newark was five hours late and hellish, we left New Jersey at 1pm Saturday and we drove up to Cate's door at 1am this morning. Thirty six hours for 1800 miles is pretty damn good.
Best bumper sticker EVER, as seen in Tennessee: Nuke an Unborn Gay Baby Whale for Jesus. WTF?
Now to be absolutely clear, I have realized two important things. I never want to drive across the county again for any reason so my closest friends are on notice not to ever give me a reason for it. Secondly, I could never settle anywhere other than the South. There's no other place I would rather be, no other sky I would rather see at night.
