Nov. 14th, 2004 03:02 pmMy mom called to tell me she recieved a jury summons for me, under my maiden name and at her address. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? But then I suppose if my government can't find these weapons of mass destruction, then I can't expect them to get my name or my address right. Especially not after I went to all the trouble of updating my SSN, my drivers license and my voter registration.
I don't have a problem with jury duty, but I'd rather they at least get my name right. I have to wait til tomorrow to call them up and figure out why the hell they have my name wrong. Good thing I have the day off.
I spent the morning cutting out the pieces for my dress. Not nearly as many as for the coat, thank god. My back hurts a little from being stooped over the floor though. I think I have the idea of how to do the gathers at the shoulders right, though I'll read through the whole thing again before I start sewing. I'm liking the fabric, which is this heavy eggplant colored satin. I really hope it comes out right.
It's gray and rainy outside, and chilly.
