Today I went to lunch with rothko who drives the coolest spaceship car ever. I covet her spaceship madly. She also has much more stylish wrist braces, and I am now thinking about dying mine black. I introduced her to the deliciousness of La Madeline, which was absurdly crowded for an early lunch. I suppose everyone wanted soup like me. She's nifty keen and we must hang out more.

Last night, I had a brand new mustang towed from our apartment complex because it was parked in front of a fire hydrant. Bwahah. I think it belonged to a friend of the drug dealers. Score. Melynda, I thought of you.

Work is so slow. I took a super long lunch, and I will be here forever. Am seriously considering leaving an hour early just because I can. Reading reviews of Closer and contemplating the significance of Jude Law's cheek bones in relation to the floods in New York state. Surely there is a connection.

Well the only thing left to do is put in the zipper. Guess I need to dig out the sewing machine manual and figure out what the zipper foot looks like and how to put it on the sewing machine. If it were shorter I might just do it by hand. But I'm tired.

It's come out really well and it fits so far! I only made a small goof where the two halves of the neckline meet in front because it was confusing and a pain in the ass to sew a triangle point in the midst of eight bllion layers of fabric. But I think it can be salvaged and since everyone seems to be into absurdly large and strange pieces of costme jewelry, I'm going to go snag a broach tomorrow when I go out for soap and hem tape.

I mailed the first batch of Christmas cards. I should get cracking on the rest of them. They're setting up the Trail of Lights and the Zilker tree already. I wish I had a christmas tree.
