I bought a bottle of rum tonight that had orange ribbons tied around the neck. The bottle was handmade blown, and has little bubbles in places. It eve had this odd brass charm on a cord. Pyrat Rum, from the Antilles. More than I would normally spend, but they had tastings at the liquor store and it was so good. It's rare that something alcoholic just smells good but this was wonderful. It makes me happy to drink tasty rum beverages. I also picked up a pair of square coffee mugs, black with gold spirals on two sides.
So beautiful today. Grey cold morning of rain followed by a gorgeous windswept sky. It was hard to go inside after lunch.
