Aug. 12th, 2005 09:44 amThe sky in places is perfect, impossible, ideal blue. As I drove up the road this morning, the leaping clouds reminded me of the sand mantas in Bloodlust. But on further reflection, after driving under their ribbed bellies, I thought Delchi might see them more as Dune's worms. I drove through strips of light and shade, and the sky just seems bursting with aching promise. I wanted to keep driving, far, far, far away.
Tomorrow I'm driving to Houston to see Melynda, and the Lord of the Rings exhibit at the museum. It promises to be delightful.
Today I smell like the flower moon, carnations and wildflowers.
