Jun. 13th, 2006 06:09 pmPink Dome has a link under Why do You Hate America in which a Fox News reporter loses it with a right wing nut job. The reporter shouts over that wacko, and it gets ugly. I can't believe this went on the air. It's really perhaps the only worthwhile thing I've ever seen on Fox News in all these years. This is ostensibly an interview with that vicious harridan who protests at military funerals, telling people their children died in Iraq because of homosexuals in America.
I've always believed in free speech, and ideas. Maybe I am just getting old. But some of these people should be fucking shot. I know, such an ugly thing to say. Not so much because I disagree with their political agenda but because these people are so damned disconnected from reality that they are a cancer in this country. This is why America is in decline, poorly educated hate mongering zealots so blind to reality that they couldn't recognize the truth if God shoved it down their throats. I don't really see how insanity benefits our discourse or helps us develop into better people. I certainly don't think anyone who feels it necessary to advocate blind hatred in the name of a God who told us to love one another as family should be taken seriously.
But you know, I would gladly take that sin on myself to spare the rest of my country. I would cheerfully line all those people up and spend my time in hell if it would make the difference.
(Dear NSA/CIA/Secret Service/whatever government agency assigned to reading my blog: please don't construe this post as advocating terrorism or organized execution of right wing nutbars.)
