Last night I went to sleep with the sound of rain. After a month of blistering heat and parched air, it is an entirely new level of soothing. I keep having these odd dreams where Swearengen and I are friends somehow. Last night I stayed in his rambling old farmhouse, with a fireplace the size of my kitchen, creaking floors and doors that aren't quite flush in their frames. We sat at the table and talked for a long time, and i walked around in the tall grass of the yard. It's strange, but overall it was a good dream.

This morning has come up shaded and pale grey. If I get off work on time, I'll catch the kickoff for the game.

My collage for the cube has become 3D with the addition of a little gold Buddha, an embroidered butterfly and a lucky cat! Excellent. Thank you Hannah for the cards and things. Everyone needs more pandas.

Here's a random poll, because I like both soap and polls. My bar of Jem is down to the last narrow sliver and soon to be used up. I need to crack open a new bar of soap but I'm unsure which one.

Most brilliant that I've watched so far: Garden State re-imagined as a murder mystery, and How Scarface Got his Groove Back which was hilarious editing. Also, The Matrix as a film about lost love and second chances. Hah! I forsee hours of entertainment in my future.

I couldn't help it. I caved in and bought Retro Glam #3. I just couldn't say no. I missed out on those Jazz Age pieces she did awhile back that were gorgeous and I've been kicking myself ever since so I knew I had to jump on this. It just has this incredible color, and there's an association in it somewhere on the tip of my tongue. I wish I knew what this makes me think of but it is a good thing.

We lost shamefully, and there is much woe in Austin tonight. I feel bad for our new quarterback. I think the guy upstairs is an Ohio fan, because there's loud drunken stumbling, music and talking. It's annoying. The guy is far more noisy now that his child is gone. I would almost rather put up with the thump thump of the kid running around than this crap. If I have to go out there at 4am and tell them to shut the hell up again, I'll be annoyed.

I'm almost done with the third chapter of this fanfic monstrosity. I hope it does well.

Edit 11:51pm - This noise is really pissing me off. Playing the same song over and over again at extreme volume doesn't make me like you, it makes me want to set your balcony on fire!
