flash in the pan
Nov. 3rd, 2006 11:34 pmAhh interweb, you brought me a few choice moments. I almost think I should write some of these. Here are my fake story summaries from your suggestions.
"Bean Loves Chef Pants" - A story in three parts, about how Sean Bean fell in love while working in New Zealand, entertained the idea of chucking acting for culinary school, and lost a month's wages betting on football. Guest appearances from Miranda Otto, Hugo Weaving and Orlando Bloom.
"Dumbledore and the Tom Baker Doctor Who?" - Albus Dumbledore and Arthur Weasley engage in a long term project to bridge cultural gaps between the Wizarding and Muggle communities. Mayhem ensues when Dumbledore has a satellite dish installed on the Astronomy Tower, and blood sucking rocks roam the English countryside.
"Every Way But Down" - Forever on the run from creditors, lovers and federal agents, the crew of Serenity finds more than they expected on a remote mining outpost. Mrs. Reynolds was there first, the Reavers aren't far, and River Tam's schizoprenia has gone full tilt. When Mal insults the big man in the bar, all hell breaks loose.
"Vienna Bound" - Political exile means Lucius Malfoy is spending more time than he likes on the Continent. When he stumbles into a minor civil war between the ruling families of middle Europe, Lucius encounters an unexpected piece of his past. The temptation to stir up chaos leads him to a salon run by a mysterious woman named Enid Radomil. Treachery, conspiracy and bloodshed abound.
"Norrington: A Decade in the Making" - The story of Mayweather and how the ship's crew survive weeks becalmed in a foreign ocean, an island of deadly turtles, and the constant threat of pirates. When disaster sweeps away the commanding officers, a young lieutenant named Norrington must rise to the challenge to return Mayweather safely home.
"Beware of the Sloth's Ire" - A children's story, about the learning not to insult your friends, how to make coconut treats and coping with disaster. Full of brightly colored illustrations.
"Dark Spell Rising" - Magic wasn't always feared. But when the world was turned dark by a group of corrupt wizards, magic users were hunted and shunned. After sixty years of perpetual darkness, the people of Somar are dying and no one has the ability to undo the magics trapping their lands in shadow.
"Quick And Easy Elven Recipes: A Novel" - The fall of the last great Elven Empire, as chronicled by a daughter of minor nobility seeking to avoid an arranged marriage. Used a pawn in a desperate gamble to secure an alliance with the troublesome kingdom to the south, Sadpera witnesses the petty conflicts that lead to a far ranging war threatening the very survival of her people.
"Snake Oil" - Snake oil salesman and hucksters are a penny a dozen in the wilds of the American West. The trouble comes in when someone gets poisoned by the latest craze. Bullock tries to keep the town from rioting, Trixie burns down the wagons, and Al has to clean up the mess.
