first day of winter

Work is slowed down, as the schools are out. The downsides to it being quiet is that the day drags on and on, and the lunatic callers don't get bored on hold. They get through and make your head hurt with the sheer raft of psychotic delusions. They've all started to sound the same to me, these delusions.

The world is coldly beautiful today, sixty three degrees with a bright blue sky and glorious sunshine. I love days like these. The sky is a big blue eggshell overhead, and the poor space shuttle is still circling round up there. I wish I wasn't stuck in here.

Dinner tonight will be breakfast tacos, brownies and champagne. I really can't imagine anything tastier right now. Tyler and I are going to open presents. I'm really excited for Christmas this year, much more than last year.

Christmas at home

Home being my apartment with my lovely fir tree decorated in green and blue lights. We had breakfast tacos with delicious roasted potato, and asti spumante with Grand Marnier for dinner. Tyler and I opened our presents. He was pleased with his fresh laundry smelling soap, the Jack McDevitt books and a bottle of nice tequilla. Tyler got me some fantastic presents! There's a Lord of the Rings calendar, and a copy of The Towers for PS2 playing. (Oh I can't wait to play that on the big television.) But the best presents? Wild Rock and The Judged. ZOMG, really hot looking yaoi. Best. Present. Ever.

My massive order of fancy underwear arrived, along with my pieces of Wearable Sculpture. Damn. They are so beautiful. Kythryne sent me a little gift pendant that matches one I ordered that is amazing. I ordered two neckvines, and I like them already.
