NYE meme, questions from
newbabel
Dec. 31st, 2006 12:22 pm1. How many people did you plant a smooch on in 2006?
Hmm. Only a couple or three, I think. I can't remember who kissed who last New Year's at Sarah's Gatsby party.
2. Best kisser among them?
I think it would be impossible to make Mike look more smug about his natural talents, so I have to admit the truth. The boy is very good at what he does. The funniest part is that I chipped a tooth one of the first times we did kiss, because it's been awhile and I am sometimes the most clumsy person.
3. What was your breakthrough moment?
From an LJ entry on December 16th:
I dreamed last night about Alan. In the dream I had gone to see him, out in small town Texas. He was a born again Christian, but still as angry at me as ever. I cried, and told him to tell his family I was sorry. I was trying to get him to tell me if he was happy or not. In the end, I got in the car with someone and drove away. It was different from the other dreams. I think it was goodbye.
I've never been one to hold much stock in the meanings of dreams, but I really do believe that one was different. That moment, and the Postsecret card I saw on December 23rd laid things to rest in my head. I may still carry a number of ghosts and roads not taken, but I feel much less haunted and much more alive.
4. Best meal you had?
That's hard. I had some spectacular meals this year. The tasty lamb of Bombay bistro, sea bass, a salmon roll with red onions, the squid risotto at a gluten free place in NYC, Tyler's homemade fettucine alfredo.... But I think I have to say the best meal I had all year was one I had alone while visiting New York. I ate this squid ink linguini with a spicy tomato sauce, scallops, shrimps, octopus, squid and whitefish, drank some coffee and had a big square of brownie with vanilla ice cream. I sat there for ages, reading a book and listening to the hilarious conversations of several other diners around me. Man that meal was good.
5. Any new ambitions that you'll take with you into 2007?
I'll hit my two year mark with the state next month, so it is really time to start thinking about whether I'll make a career out of this line or work. I'm going to apply to be an acting supervisor, so there's nothing on the floor I won't be able to do and I think that will help me decide.
I'd like to travel as well and I need to get a new passport.
