these things that I have done
Feb. 3rd, 2007 11:42 amI have this unfortunate inability to sleep late unless I'm so drop dead exhausted I can't move. Today, I woke up thirty minutes before my alarm went off, despite going to bed at two in the morning. You would be surprised how much you can get done between 7am and 9am when the world is quiet and no one bothers you.
This morning I:
- completed two quests in Warcraft, ran away from elite dragons and elite giants that tried to kill me and discovered a nest of elite demons that mercifully missed me
- wrote a lot of email
- did two loads of laundry consisting of blankets and sheets
- took a shower
- took my vitamins
- broiled a frozen hashbrown for breakfast
- read more Anthony Bourdain
- spent a significant amount of time picking out my daily jewelry
- defrosted the ice off my windshield
- checked the mail box in hopes of getting my ipod
- put gas in my car
- drove to work with the heat running and my sunroof open
It is quite a beautiful day out there today. It is making me cranky to deal with some of the appalling stupid that comes across my desk as part of the regular Saturday grind. Mothers, don't check you babies out of the hospital AMA. It just makes my life hard when you run.
At least it is the weekend. I'm going out tonight.
Edit 2:03pm - I have managed to write about sixty emails in the past couple hours and this seems to be my cheif source of entertainment for the day. Forgive me.

I noticed today that I now earn just a tiny bit more vacation time every month. Sweetness. I also noticed that the next two weeks are chock full of medical appointments I'm really not looking forward to having. I know, taking care of this machine should be a priority for so many reasons but I hate it when they take my blood pressure and draw blood. It makes me want to weep.
As it has been officially forever and a day since I ordered bath products for myself, I bought a bunch of bubble bath and bath fizzes and that sort of thing. How could resist bathing in something that smells like ginger ale? Or black currants? I love black currants. I ate so many things with currants, and drank currant juice often in the Czech Republic. Oh I miss it.
