1. what do you like about your job?Honestly, the thing I love most is knowing that I'm doing something that matters. I am doing something that has a direct impact on the lives of people in my community and my state. I try hard to do this job well, even when I'm frustrated, upset, angry, tired, apathetic, whatever - all because this job means more than a paycheck. Thankfully, it comes with a paycheck. Also, I am an inquisitive person and having a job where I can ask all sorts of questions that are never asked in polite conversation is pretty sweet.
2. what are the websites you tend to visit the most?Livejournal, of course.

4. where did your lj name come from?College, truthfully. My intense love of Russian, imperial history, Slavic literature, and my demanding behavior all combined into the perfect new handle. I had been using the name amalthea for some other things, but that was already taken when I signed up for LJ. Tsarina it was then. Plus, I get a kick out of introducing myself that way.
5. do you have any advice for a young college student such as myself? No matter how hard it seems, how poor you are, how much you hate going to class - do not drop out. Ever. Period. Whatever else, no matter how many majors you go through or times you change your plans finish college.
Also, take some classes just for fun. Take some classes just because you want to learn something and not because it is ever going to be useful in getting you a fancy office job with a 401K plan. Unless you are planning on going to med school or graduate school for something very specialized, what exactly you get your undergraduate degree in isn't quite as important as everyone wants you to believe. Sure, study practical things if you want to learn them for the purposes of having certain kinds of jobs and opportunities. But don't be afraid to take Ancient Egyptian Mythology or Privates Lives of the French Aristocracy or German if you just really want to. My only regret from college was that I didn't take more classes just for the hell of it.
