why are there so many yoga mats?
Mar. 16th, 2007 06:13 pmMy friend & coworker Stacy has been all motivated to be more healthy over the past several months. She even started doing some yoga, and bears a burning hatred for the downward dog position. Her comments on the place have been pretty positive. Since I've decided I really am going to stop playing Warcraft this year because my heart isn't in it, I have been casting about for a more physically satisfying hobby. Sadly, I am out of shape. Working out at home is not motivating, because I'm too concerned about the racket it must make for the people living below me, and because I'm sick to death of the things I've done already eight hundred times.
So I enrolled in a beginner's class at said yoga place, to start next month. I think between paying money and having them be out of the house, I might stand a better chance of keeping up with this. Plus, the studio is between my home and my office which is a huge bonus. The class is at convenient times as well, which is always hard to find with my slightly off kilter work schedule.
That was my productive, proactive moment. Now I'm debating whether I want to indulge in the comfort of Luby's for dinner tonight. It has been a rough, rough day. Everyone keeps getting wretched calls. I think I've talking to more schizophrenics in full blown out of control mode over the past four days than I have in three months. Since most schools are on spring break, the call volume is low and the crazy people don't get bored on hold and hang up.
On the brighter side of life, Kittenwars gives us Random Kitten Generator. A bright spot of life in a dreary world.
