Who says money can't buy happiness? I'm much happier after my shopping spree in World Market this afternoon. I decided it was too hot and boring to sit in the evening rush, so I stopped to wander the store. When purchasing my random assortment of items, I got a scratch off card for ten dollars off the purchase, which made it even better. So now I have two pairs of earrings, a coffee bean grinder, two pounds of Costa Rican Terrazu beans, some baking marzipan, a big chunk of chocolate covered marzipan, a chocolate cappucino marzipan candy bar, some pocky, a bunch of mints in tins and a bottle of wine. Sweetness.

Once again today I worked with the very not good person. I got to write a memo of all the reasons why this person is unqualified and unable to do the job. That was interesting. I sort of want to say, "Why are you here?" every day. Yesterday, she got up from her desk and left her screen on the Statesman job search. I told the supervisor, who started laughing. I think we both hope she will just quit, but we won't be that lucky. They will have to fire this person. It's amazing how incompetant she is. For instance, this person refuses to learn how to use ctrl+c to copy things. Refuses. She doggedly continues to go to the menu and select the option, every single damned time. No matter what I say, no matter what I do, I seem to be unable to teach her anything. Every single time. I feel like I'm trying to teach a plant how to ride a bike.

But okay, there is marzipan. Delicious, delicious marzipan. I love marzipan so much.
