Bring on the hats and mint juleps
May. 4th, 2007 02:45 pmTomorrow is the first race of the Triple Crown, the Kentucky Derby. I am very sad I will be at work. For the Preakness, I'll be in NEw Orleans, but I can probably run back to my hotel room to watch the race. But for the Belmont, I'll be home and here. Excellent. That could be the most important one of all if we get a steady winner.
One day, I'm going to go to all three races. It's a dream. It is the oldest continously running sporting event in America.
There is a horse in the race this year named "Imawildandcrazyguy." I kid you not. I just about fell out of my chair for the laughing. I wonder if they make the jockey talk with a fake Eastern European accent, hah!
