it is too hot in the building today
My fingers are only slightly bruised and not as swollen as I feared. I am relieved they are not broken. Broken fingers, broken hands, those are my worst nightmare. When I injured my right hand fourteen years ago, I was scared to death it would cripple my writing hand.
I forgot my phone this morning, which makes me mildly crazy. Not that I use my phone, but I feel better having it. Years ago I swore I would never have a cell phone. Now it is the only one I have, and I have to sigh. Even my mother has a cell phone now.
Work is crazy stupid busy. I don't think I got the shift I put in for, which makes me sad. Oh well.
Next week is Phoenix Rising. I'm starting to get excited about it. I need to find my dress and make sure it fits. I need to scan the panels and figure out what I'm going to, dig out a suitcase, and a million billion other things. Tomorrow I'll meet up with Sherry and we will plot drive times and buy buttons. I am so so so glad I'll have a driving companion because I was just loathe to do this alone.
