pomme de terre!
Aug. 27th, 2007 06:35 pmI am making pommes puree, a la Anthony Bourdain. Mmm delicious potato. Mashed up with creamy butter goodness and my personal addition of sauteed onions and garlic. It sounds like happiness. Unfortunately the madness in the grocery store prevented me from buying more groceries, and I forgot to buy coffee. Sigh.
Work today was a little weird. It was the day they finally announced the training position to everyone so I could stop saying I didn't know if I had the job. It was horribly awkward working with the other peer trainers this afternoon. Some people who have been friendly towards me completely would not speak to me or make eye contact even. I heard that there were tears, and even someone who shouted at the training boss over not getting the job. I feel very awkward. It's not like I can apologize for getting hired. I also can't express happiness about the job without feeling very on the spot. I hope this does not continue.
abbismom and I are going to get a booth the first Saturday in October down in Wimberly and sell our shiny things. It should be fun to hang out, people watch and maybe sell a couple things so as to buy more. She makes Shiny Blings. I love that name.
Time to cook. WoW time later.
