Wonderland necklace raffle
Aug. 30th, 2007 05:58 pmThere's a raffle for a huge Wonderland necklace going on over at the Wearable Sculpture blog. It is a crazy huge necklace, probably about $500 worth of shiny and you could win it for a mere five dollars. From the blog:
Raffle entries are available for a five dollar donation to the charitable organization of your choice. I’ll assemble a list of organizations that we particularly like over the next few days, but if you want to know what we like to support, here’s a summary: Erin likes environmental causes, Kate supports no-kill shelters and animal rescue organizations, Amy’s partial to groups working to reduce global poverty and end exploitive labor practices, and I’m always behind civil rights groups and anyone working for reproductive choice. Don’t feel obligated to support one of those causes, though - put your money where you think it’ll do the most good.
To claim your raffle ticket(s), make a donation directly to the charity of your choice, and forward proof of your donation to wonderland@wearablesculpture.com. Every five dollars that you donate gets you one ticket, and there’s no limit to the number of tickets. Ten dollars gets you two tickets, fifty dollars gets you ten tickets, and so on. You get the idea. (Please make your donation all in one lump sum, though, not as individual five dollar donations — most organizations have to pay credit card processing fees even on donations.) We’ll respond with your raffle ticket numbers, and next Saturday at noon we’ll put all the ticket numbers in a hat and draw one of them.
