oh you know, I over-react to everything
Oct. 8th, 2007 10:36 amOnce again, aha. Mike drove me to the dentist because I am medicated to the gills to combat the overwhelming urge to run and cry. But it was not so bad, as my dental office is remarkably calm and since they deal with phobic lunatic patients like myself they were able to handle it all gently. My cleaning went well, and my gums appear healthier. (S- I *did* have a planing and scaling last year, it is just they called it something else to avoid terror) The x-rays show no new cavities. I did somehow break my crown, which everyone agreed is probably due to my job. They all advised me to quit and work at Whole Foods instead. Dr. Tatiana thinks I will not need a root canal, and will put a new type of crown on my tooth Friday morning. (For free even! They said since I come to all my appointments and don't skip for a year at a time then they consider me to under warranty and feel I'm not doing anything weird to cause these crown issues.) I spoke in Russian with the dentist, who laughed quite brightly and was pleased. Mike stopped so I could get a nice big latte to reward myself, they gave me cherry lipgloss and a new toothbrush, and I think I'm going to take a nap.
Thank you, those of you who offered kind words on my minor and ridiculous meltdown the other night. It is deeply appreciated.
This will be a short week. The girl named Amanda at the office wrote me a note to skip work entirely on Friday. I promised to email her my pie recipe.
