Jan. 31st, 2008 11:11 pmToday was interesting. I received my Christmas order of soap and another package. Remember that package Fedex claimed they left in December that I never got? uh huh. Well at least I have some new shoes and such.
We went to see Velvet Revolver tonight at Stubbs. It was pretty awesome. Fifteen years has made Duff McKagan a hell of a lot more attractive, sort of like Iggy Pop if he never did all the dope. Which is weird, considering McKagan's drug history. In theory though they are all clean now.
Mike is practicing playing his guitar while holding it behind it his head, like Slash did this evening. Awesome.
They played some Stone Temple Pilots and Guns N Roses in the middle of the evening, as well as a Pink Floyd song. How great was it to hear "Sex Type Thing" live after all these years? And "Mr. Brownstone" too? Super awesome fantastic.
Things that were not so awesome - a freaking twelve year old with an iPhone who reminded me overwhelmingly of Anthony Soprano Jr. I so wanted to shove that kid hard, send that phone flying. He spent more time looking at his phone than paying attention to the concert. Argggggggh.
