I am so behind on writing about me. Any time I write something, it is fiction or for something else entirely. So many things to catch up on that I don't know how to start or organize. Chronologically? Back from today?
Well today. Today I had my hair cut by the awesome Tonya, who made it super short and pointed in the back. It is fabulous like whoa. Yesterday I looked in the mirror and was somewhat appalled by the mess on my head. I can't go meet my in-laws next week looking like a turnip seed. Fortunately I am saved by the excellent skills of Tonya.
Since Tonya's place is at Lakeline, I decided to wander the mall a bit. Secretly I was horrified by neon shirt dresses with stirrup leggings and big fake leather belts. WTF? Ew. I needed a small piece of luggage, as I only own one giant suitcase. So now I have luggage I will not confuse with anyone else, as I doubt many people travel with a blue and white Hello Kitty duffle bag. No, I really cannot explain the Hello Kitty thing. It's just so amusing. And evil.
I shopped a bit for a Valentine's gift for Mike. Hoping against hope, I stopped at Gamestop. The guy told me to come back in half an hour to see if their daily shipment had any. I wandered some more, drank a coffee that was not all that great, resisted the urge to buy chocolate truffles, again sighed over faux 80's ugly fashion in store displays. I looked at my cell phone and wondered if there was really any chance. I trudged back down the mall to Gamestop where the guy had one and only one Wii.
Wii! Best Valentines present ever. Wii, and extra controller, AND Super Mario Galaxies. Full of joy. Full of joy. We're going to be able to play Super Mario 3 soon!
We do actually have a Katamari in the house. Sherry made it, and put magnets in the bumps so it really will pick things up. It's hilariously adorable. I have not attempted to roll the kitty up into it yet.
I just got a small contract job, just a few bucks. But hell, I'm getting paid to read. Awesome. Though my right hand shift key is dying, as it works less and less these days. I think by the time the next WoW expansion comes out, I will need to upgrade. Though the laptop will remain my primary writing machine.
