- Most exciting was a wedding present from Mike's friend Jeff K and his wife. They live in Norway, which gives me an excuse to visit Norway sometime. They sent us these beautiful pewter Viking goblets and a Norwegian card! (They were sold cold right out of the mail, since the weather was down to freezing in the evenings.) We plan on filling them with delicious wine. The cups are simply decorated with some images of Olav the Holy, a Viking leader who was made a saint by the Catholic Church. So much love! It's such a nifty present.
- My grandmother has come home from the hospital. She is much happier at home. Though I don't think she wants to continue her physical therapy.
- Earlier in the week I baked a lasagna from scratch, making my own sauce and such. I dropped the container of ricotta on my foot and was surprised by the blinding sens of pain. The next day I had a two inch purple and red bruise on my foot. Ow ow ow.
- My contract job is sending me a check, yay. I made a couple hundred reading stories and now I'm wondering how to put that on my resume. This morning I sent off my resume for another contract job that would be so awesome. Good thoughts, cross your fingers for me.
- This afternoon I beat Super Mario World once again. Now I must decide which Mario to play next, or if I'm going to start the original Castlevania. Koshka likes it when we play games on the Wii. He curls up in Mike's lap so that he's pressed against the controller. It reminds me of my mother's cat Whisper, and how he will try to stop her crocheting so she will pet him.
- I bought some new beads. Bead chips mostly. I wanted to try some different shapes.
- That story for a collaboration with Kythryne is nearly done.
