Since I woke up with an astonishing headache, I went back to bed around 11am and slept another two hours. It seemed to improve things.
Tonight's dinner menu: roasted beef & garlic, served on cibatta rolls with some lettuces. I would have even more roasted garlic, but the second head I cracked open was moldering inside. Ugh.
In the past few days I've talked on the phone with Sarah, Tyler and Racheline. It is good to hear voices of friends. Now if only Mike would hurry up with that teleportation device I asked him to build... Spell check does not recognize teleportation. It suggests deportation instead.
This month's edition of Texas Monthly is extra good. The oral history of Willie Nelson, as told by friends and family, a pictorial spread on antique varieties of Texas roses and an article about how despite pushing abstinence only sex education and not allowing the word condom to be used in Texas schools, we have the highest teen birth rate in the nation. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
