I have to say that I find McCain's choice of VP especially awful. It is a pretty obvious case of playing to undecided female voters and the religious right. It fits with McCain's campaign attitude though. Vote for him because he was in a war dammit, so he is the end-all, be-all expert! Vote for Palin because she's a hockey mom and has a kid with Down's Syndrome. (As if that poor little guy won't have enough trouble in life they gave him the terrible name Trig. Trig Paxson Van Palin, in homage to Van Halen? Trig? Seriously? Van Halen? I continue to assert that people who give their children awful names have something seriously wrong.) An antiabortion right winger who doesn't want the polar bears listed as endangered because it might interfere with drilling in Alaska? Charming.

Also, is it not hilarious that McCain has ragged on Obama for being so "inexperienced" and then turns around and picks a VP who was previously mayor of a town of 9,000 people and has no experience outside her state? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH HYPOCRISY MUCH?
