Monday - had an appalling doctor visit. (Not with my GP who kicks ass though) Got lunch from Whole Foods. Took an afternoon walk with Mike and resisted the lure of the ice cream truck. Highlight of the day was seeing Repo Man at the Alamo Ritz. It's one of those utterly bizarro 80s movies that captures the weird, weird, weird feeling of that era. It also features a very young Emilio Estevez and some hilarious dialogue. (Let's go do some crimes! Let's get some sushi and not pay!) The staff had to kick out an extremely loud drunk.

After the crappy early part of the day, I felt better about myself by watching a real life Cops moment out on 6th Street - four APD officers were trying to handcuff a very loud and wriggly drunk woman. Somehow, she wriggled half out of her pants in the process. At least my day did not involve being drunk and baring my ass to the crowd on the street.

Tuesday - made a formal complaint about the terrible doctor visit and an appointment for a second opinion. Seeing specialists is no fun. At the grocery store I tried to buy some different foods than the usual. Bemoaned the fact so many smoothies contain bananas. I can't stand bananas. Watched a lot of Daily Show.

Wednesday - epic dental appointment of doom at 8am. Two cavities and three crowns all together, so it took pretty much the entire day with a break for lunch. My dentist and the assistant were super nice and said they day went by so fast. I surprised myself and didn't cry once. It was less than terrifying than it has been in the past. We ate microwave meals for dinner and watched Battlestar Galactica.

Thursday - Went back to the dentist to fine tune the crown on the right, so my bite is settled and even. Bought some chocolate milk. Came home to pet the kitties and watch Cops.

Has anyone else seen the hysterically awful previews for Drag Me to Hell? I laughed so hard when I finally figured out the movie is about a bank loan officer who is cursed by a little old lady who can't pay her mortgage. Talk about an easy sell script.
