cozzene gave me the task of coming up with 10 things I love that start with the letter L... I imagine it will be more fun than talking about my gallbladder.
1. Lamb: I love to eat lamb. It's so delicious in a curry or wrapped in pita bread. It also goes to my theory that the cuter something is, the better it tastes. (Shellfish are the exception to this rule.)
2. Layer cakes: Cakes with layers are one of my favorite things, because they present an opportunity to combine flavors and textures. Crunchy and smooth, silky and creamy, fruity and chocolates.
3. Leaves: The shapes and colors and smells of leaves, all kinds of leaves. My favorite leaves are often oval shaped ones.
4. Lucius Malfoy: One of my favorite wizards, for his trickery and hats.
5. Lemons: The lemon is so versatile for sweet and savory dishes. It's one of my secret cooking ingredients, lemon.
6. Lukyanenko: One of my favorite modern Russian authors, writer of excellent fantastic fiction.
7. Livejournal: All stupidity aside, it is still my favorite place on the internet.
8. Luby's: One of the best gems of regional dining, and the only place I eat macaroni & cheese.
9. Leopards: They are pretty, and covered in spots. Fearsome, yet adorable.
10. Lore: Stories make everything.
