Last night we saw Our Lady Peace at Antone's. That's such a good set up for a club. Everywhere is a good view. We were lucky to be by the wall next to the sound board, so we had a ledge and some breathing room. My calves are killing me today though.

Seeing Our Lady Peace perform, I had that feeling I suppose one should feel in churches and great, deep places in the world. That strange expansion of the soul. This band and their music helped save my life at some pivotal moments over the past fifteen years. I realized last night I've listened to this band for half my life. Half my life.

I've never seen anyone else live that could get a crowd to sing along so constantly that at times it nearly drowned out the voice of the singer. Not just for one or two songs, but most of them. Not just the chorus, but the entire song.

My favorite of Mike's pictures of the show

The opening band, Electric Touch, was so energetic. The guitar player looks like a very young Keith Richards and knows it. They were so fun. The drummer had sparkly red shoes that matched his drum kit. Mike bought their cd and hopefully we can see them again.

I dreamed weird dreams. The first being that I was at a weird hotel suite with Racheline, Ianto and several other people whose names I forget. But the three of us were going to see an opera, or possibly a ballet. Later I dreamed Mike painted the bedroom a blue violet color and the library white. There were a million things going wrong with the house.

It's 82F right now, down from the high of 103 just an hour ago. I can't remember the last time it was 82 in daylight, much less at 4:30pm in the afternoon. It looks like it might even rain. This is very exciting, after 56 straight days of temperatures over 100 degrees.
