We ate dinner at The Highball, which is awesome. I wish this existed ten years ago, it is so awesome. Skeeball! I have collected my first tickets, which fit nicely into one of the Hello Kitty tins from John's package.

I am sadly so stuffed I did not get dessert. But we did try the Dr Pepper and peanut ribs, which are fantastically tender. Mike had a bison meatloaf sandwich. I ate what might be the best fried shrimp I've had in twenty years, with this super tasty red cabbage slaw and onion rings. Really, most shrimp one gets anywhere are flavorless and rubbery. These were mammoth, sweet and had the faintest tang like salt water air to them. They were so, so, so good. Live Oak Pilsners were $2 (!!!) so they went nicely with beer. It was really good and my only regret is not having some pie.

They have a New Year's thing that I actually really kind of want to go to... hmm. It will probably be so full of hipsters. But awesome! I love those sparkly gold vinyl chairs.

I got a Christmas card today. It involved penguins. Totally awesome.
