almost holiday
Dec. 24th, 2009 09:28 pmI worked a lot today. I also sort of accidentally wrote a third piece for Yuletide, because I happened to be watching the source while I worked. Hahah oops. Writing rampage! I am super excited - I haven't participated in Yuletide in a few years. I can't wait to read all the stories!
For dinner we ate at the European Bistro. It was so delicious. There was smoked salmon on crispy bread, a chicken soup, veal schnitzel, cabbage and Yule Log cake. I am so full and happy.
We fed our friends' cats, checked the mail and came home to watch episodes of The Tudors. Costume dramas are festive, right?
Christmas is different as an adult, especially living in your own place. No one else is going to wake up first and fill stockings magically. Mike and I decided to have our own little tradition, starting this year. We're going to stay up past midnight to open our presents and celebrate, so that Mike can sleep as late as he likes tomorrow without me pestering home to get up and unwrap stuff.
