Apolo Ohno said he wants to be like a lion, that's why he yawns before his races. Hilariously awesome. The 500m race is exciting. Still watching lots of Olympics.
Okay, I have to admit that I am stupidly excited about the upcoming remake of Clash of the Titans. This was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I remember it being a big deal when we watched it in fifth grade, because the teacher apparently didn't realize there was a two second glimpse of naked breasts and there was a lot of giggling from my classmates. But breasts and old special effects aside, it was a big epic story. I like epics.
Today I saw a two foot snowman, the last of the snow leftover. It took most of the day for the stuff to melt out of the yard and the fence. I won't be able to say I have never seen real snow anymore.
My new glasses arrived. The improved clarity of vision is excellent.
The mop-bot does not like to obey instructions. If I turn the Scooba on in the living room, it goes to the library. If I go to the library it decides to do the bathroom. Around and around we go, but at least the floor is clean.
I've experimented a lot with making broth out of vegetables from my farm share. This past week I used the vegetable broth instead of water in the potato soup recipe. I also cooked a bunch of brussels sprouts in bacon. This is really the way to go with them. Bacon fried and dumped on top of potato soup. Tonight it was just scrambled duck eggs.
I am making the effort to write more, just for myself.
