Today Mike helped me shave my head. Well, he really did most of the work. I stood there and folded my ears down. It was weird watching big chunks of my hair come off while we stood on the porch. (It was also mildly distressing to notice how lank and full of dandruff it was just from not washing it for 36 hours.) It wasn't a bad experience, except for the top of my head. It was weird and sensitive and felt creepy. Not exactly painful but uncomfortable.
Everything feels funny on it. Water, the air, shampoo - it is very sensitive. I wasn't exactly expecting that. Aside from feeling like a big peeled potato, I am pleased. I rather like it. This could make summer so much more bearable. It's like the air became ten degrees cooler without my hair. (I have obtained a couple light cotton scarves to help keep from sunburning my scalp when I'm out and about.)
I like it.
