At the drafthouse for the Back to the Future trilogy feast. Picture of awesome menu
There are three Delorians parked out front! Picture!
I got to sit in a Delorian! Picture!
OMG CHRISTOPHER LLOYD JUST ARRIVED IN A FOURTH DELORIAN!
And holy shit, we're sitting there in the theater watching News8 broadcast from the street as the fourth car pulls up and it is Christopher Lloyd. (Hilariously, they had to wait at the light right there and the poor news guy said "I'd sure like a green light so we can see who is in that car!") Great Scott! Christopher Lloyd makes surprise visit via News8Austin
It was one of those weird moments you only imagine in movies, and then Lloyd came into the theater to a thunder of applause. He did a brief question and answer after the first film, and talked about his influence for Doc was a combination of Einstein and Leopold Stokowski, off the cover of an LP of the Planets suite. Also that this was one of only two romantic leads he ever got to play in movies, and in the other one he blows his wife up. He was really funny and seemed so pleased that twenty five years after the first film came out, people really still dig these movies.
So we watched the awesome trilogy and stuffed ourselves on the delicious food and drinks. (So full - so very full) Now I feel like I need to recover my busy weekend of parties and grilling food and seeing awesome movies.
