(no subject)

Thank you, a hundred thousand times for your response to my recent post about my name. I tried to answer some of the questions, but have to admit I was overwhelmed by your ease and your friendship and your love. Thank you for being around, for reading, for the parts you play in my life both near and far. Livejournal has always had that sort of embarrassed shrug sort of position in the hierarchy of early internet blogs and current social media. But it is hard to imagine my life would be so rich and diverse if I didn't have this.

I have at last successfully worked out the formula for making a pot of cold brew iced coffee in my french press. This is probably not as exciting for anyone else to know, but it is terribly exciting for me. (2 ounces ground coffee, 3 1/2 cups water, let sit overnight in the fridge.)

My hardback first edition copy of Dust is waiting for the weekend. I can't wait to read it. I want to have uninterrupted hours to lay on my side and read.

The weather is weirdly mild, barely even 90 degrees.
