cooking things
Oct. 25th, 2010 10:31 pmToday I roasted lots of chicken with cumin and paprika. The meat is all shredded for a king ranch chicken later in the week. The rest made a batch of stock with some onion and zucchini scraps. I suppose I'll use most of it for some soup, though I haven't decided what kind it should be. My first inclination is always to make potato soup because that's my favorite.
I have the urge to dust off the neglected epistolary novel languishing somewhere on a hard drive. I think I might have to scrap it all rework it into something else. I have this impulse about once a year and nothing has come of it yet. Maybe, one day. I have all these weird prompts all over the place, half sketched ideas.
Tomorrow is baking extravaganza day. I need to make up my mind about nuts versus no nuts for the coconut macaroons.
