What a sad sack of potatoes.
Oct. 29th, 2010 12:14 pmAt this point in time, I should be unsurprised because only once has the person I really wanted to win a season of Project Runway actually done so. But I can't understand why anyone thinks rompers and looking like a washed up 70's lady of the canyon is somehow considered fashionable? Ugh. It was really boring. Also, the arguments put forth by two judges were RIDICULOUS in the extreme. Ugh. Ugh. How lame is it that I would rather go back and watch old seasons, even knowing the inevitable outcome, because I am so displeased by this?
I really loved Andy's collection. It was glamorous without being kitschy. I also really dig those headpieces. They reminded me of some of the pieces of the Phillip Treacy hats a few challenges ago. The silver and green worked well together. Hated the weird swimsuit. But I'd rather wear a weird swimsuit than the diaper shorts in the granola collection.
What really puzzles me about Garcia and Kors in their arguments about trend - Mondo's collection has that vintage meets DIY hipster geek girl thing in spades. Kor's nasty snap "Hello, read a magazine" should have been thrown right back at him with "Hello look at the internet."
At least the weather is nice.
