Dec. 26th, 2010 04:56 pmA quiet, easy day. I've spent a lot of it curled up in the pile of Squishables, reading. Finished reading the 83rd book of the year, which was Count Zero. It makes me revisit that old wish, that I was ten years older and that I grew up in a different place of nightclubs in warehouses and the unrestrained promise of the future in a dying world.
Looking at my reading list, I sometimes wonder if I should make the effort to read more "serious" business, learn some science or economics or something. Read more non-fiction is what I'm getting at, because three quarters of my list is fiction. But I think that reading is one of my greatest pleasures and it would be silly to try to make it a chore.
Sitting up is still hard business. I'm trying to even it out so I don't get too tired.
