Jan. 3rd, 2011 01:33 pmEvery now and then, we have the most delicious meal. Bacon, hash browns, eggs, and toast. It's a pain to make, because of the grease splatter and the timing of everything to get it all warm and on the plate at once. But today, despite burning my first batch of bacon, I got everything together and it was delicious.
It felt good to cook. I am hoping to cook more this year. Not just my usual plethora of baked goods, but also meals. We had some gift certificates from Christmas, which I used on a waffle iron and a cookbook. Also, some of those solar powered walkway lights since our front door is not actually on the front of our house. I see a lot of reviews for those lights and they are quite a mixed bag. I figure since these were essentially free for us, it won't hurt to experiment.

Pioneer One is funded with donations from viewers instead of going through the television studios. It is exciting!
