cold morning
Jan. 9th, 2011 12:14 pmOn the way to the movies last night, we saw what I'm reasonably sure was a fox. It sprang in big leaps and had quite a tail.
The cats woke us up this morning, being much louder than normal. I think they must have been complaining about the lack of power, as something in the passing storm knocked out our electricity. It came back on around 7:30am and I went back to sleep for a few restless hours. Hopefully now the rain has washed enough of the cedar pollen away that my throat will stop aching. Half the rest of the city has been miserable.
I saw Black Swan again last night. If anything it was even more scary this go around. I could see the entire audience ripple in horror at times. Definitely a movie with an immense aural presence. It was unsettling to feel like everything happened both to and because of Nina. Everything she did was trying to please and trying to escape. It felt uncomfortably close to the bone this time too, as I watched her take the advice and direction of people around her and wind it up in her head.
