(no subject)

Went to the quarterly work meeting tonight. It was really time I would have rather spent at home, doing actual work. But so it goes and now I'm off the hook for another half a year. It brought home how much we're really int he business of marketing, which is kind of weird. I think of my job as sort of like an internet cross walk sort of gig - I let things get through safely and hold the dark underbelly of frothing obscenity and insanity at bay for these commercial parks. But the company wants to make money so they are expanding the more marketing oriented side of things and that directly impacts the sort of work I'll be doing.

Then I came home and was ravenous, since all this meeting happened at awkward timing that meant I had to drive in the dregs of rush hour and miss dinner.
