a day of things, slowly
Today was a voting day here and I took myself down the street to the closest polling place. Usually I do early voting but it is a slow year since there aren't any positions up on the ballot. Just a handful of constitutional amendments and bond issues which mostly seem to be about property taxes and roads.
During the day it rained a little bit. Not much, but something is better than nothing. Even so, I noticed two more big trees on my block were cut down. The trees are in a state of panic. Lots of the Bradford pears and dogwoods are blooming, but not all of them. The weird weather has tricked them into thinking it is spring. Supposedly this won't hurt them and may actually be good for the birds and bees still here. The bats have gone south for winter.
