It rained gently today, off and on until the sun came out for the afternoon. Around half past eight, the thunder started again. Then the rain came back with a vengeance. Lightning burned, so close and bright, leaving photo flash echoes in the corners of my eyes. The rain is deafening and the temperature has dropped several degrees. I can barely see the houses nearest us, its coming down so thick and hard. It's "Storm" all over again, the waves of the rain passing overhead. In the valleys between, it grows quieter and you hear the thunder again.
